Why this one exists
Every platform truncates in a different place, and the sentence that gets cut is usually the one asking people to do something.
- The cut-off line matters more than the limit. Almost nobody taps More, so the hook and the ask both belong above it.
- Emoji count as two characters on most platforms, and some flags count as more. This counts them the way the platform does, not the way a word processor does.
- Hashtags past about five stop adding reach and start reading as spam. The count is there to stop you at eight, not to get you to thirty.
Studio drafts the opening line and the script with you. This keeps the caption that goes with it inside each platform's limit.
